Talk about too much information! I’m going to share with you that today, I hit a milestone: my belt is now at its tightest setting. No more holes to go in the “good” direction! That’s right, that’s right, I’m on a diet, and not for the first time! I’m low-carbing it. There’s a whole mega industry around low-carbing it these days. Got yer Whole 30. Keto Diet. Adkins. I’m sure there’s a whole bunch more. I’m not on any of the above, I’m just eating as few carbs as possible. I’m nowhere near what I need to be to actually hit a state of ketosis, but by not eating carbs, I am, at the very least, reducing my caloric intake. One of the key ways I’m doing this is by not drinking booze. That’s right, I’m not 80+ days or whatever without a drink. And it’s been fantastic! I must be getting old (I’ll be 48 in January! – WHAT?!) because nowadays, I’ll feel it the next morning if I even have just a drink or two. But for these last 80 days or whatever, I just get up singing and dancing every single morning. Or something like that. I’m not saying I’m never going to drink again, but I will say that right now, not drinking is working pretty well for me, and it’s not just a question of what notch I’m at on my belt!
