How do you feel about liars and cheats? Me, I’m not such a big fan. I want to share with you a real estate war story that happened to me just the other day, when I uncovered that what was written in a pre-approval letter wasn’t actually true. Shocking, I know! The problem with shading the truth like that is once you start, you lose trust. How do I know anything else you’re telling me is true? And now I’m wondering about the buyer, and their agent too – not just the lender. Look, I know you want to make your offer look as strong as possible – but in the end, misrepresenting your capacity is probably going to end up biting you – so don’t do it. Honesty is the best policy, if you ask me.
