It’s buying season again! The holidays are behind us, and right on schedule, the real estate market is heating up. Interest rates are low, recession fears have faded, and all those millions of people looking for homes are back on the streets, pre-approval letters in hand, ready to hit it. This week I’ve run into two situations where buyers are interested in making pre-emptive offers: in one case, they want to put an offer in on a property before it hits the market, and in another case, they wondered about the possibility of submitting an offer on a property before the advertised “offer review date.” In this video, I explain why that may not be such a good idea, if you’re looking to get a good price – but it IS a good idea if you want that exact house, and you’re willing to pay a premium for it. Put your ears on this one!
